Two day Super Jeep expedition into the Icelandic interior
We start our tour by doing the famous Golden Circle and then head north-east through the Þjórsárdalur valley. On our way we will stop at Háifoss, one of Iceland’s highest waterfalls and Þjóðveldisbær, a completely restored Viking house, before powering into the highlands and to the Landmannalaugar hot springs.
Our second adventure packed day will start with a highland drive from Landmannalaugar, down passed the Hekla Volcano and along the Eyjafjallajökull Volcano to the black sand beaches of Sólheimajökull glacier. There we will go for a glacier walk and get an introduction to ice climbing on the blue ice. We will also stop at the powerful Skógar waterfall and walk behind the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. After all the action we will head back towards Reykjavík but not before stopping at Eyrarbakki where we will dine on exquisite North Atlantic lobster at a sea side restaurant.
